One day, while watching a sitcom on television, one of your friends says “Let’s go to the gym.” He or she suggests that you should do more physical activities instead of laying around
Then, you find your mouth open. Your brain can not digest the sentence immediately. Later, you find yourself laughing so hard.
Did you ever have that feeling before?
Your know for sure that exercise will give you all the health benefits, but your brain always resists to the word gym. You prefer to sit in front of the big TV screen, spend time at your computer updating Facebook status. And you wonder, is there really people who love to go to the gym?
On the other hand, you know that you should be more active to stay healthy.
When you think that jogging, walking or any other exercise are not your things, there some ways to have an active lifestyle.
1. Dance around in the house
Play your favorite song and start dance around in the living room. You can do it while you are dusting, preparing the meal, putting up dishes. Put your best upbeat music and dance around in the house. You’ll have some fun while you’ll get your heart rate up at the same time.

The sky is bright, and the weather is beautiful, it’s time to get out, go to your yard and plant something. It can be a flower or any plant you like. Alternatively, you could trim some edges, cut the grass. Enjoy the fresh air, enjoy the sunlight.
3. Play video games
Are you kidding? No, I am not. I am not talking about games like Tomb Raider or Grand Theft Auto. Play video game
that gets your body active. Wii Tennis, Wii Fit, some sports games on Xbox Kinect. Make a rule that you can only play while standing up.
4. Ask a Friend to Walk with you
You may have a great conversation while walking. It also helps to make the time flies by. Before you know it, a 30-minute walk feels like a blink of the eye.
5. Listen to Music while walking
Walking can be monotonous. You need something to keeping your mind on something else. Listening to your favorite song or audio book while walking will make the time fly by.
6. Consider Sign up for a Yoga Class
Sign up a yoga class. It’s a great workout and won’t leave you sweaty and sore (mostly). On top of that, you may also enjoy making new friends.
7. Go Dance
Ask your partner to sign up some dance classes. It’s fun and will give you some physical activities. Moreover, it is romantic when you do it with your partner. You have some option here. Latin, salsa to name a view. Just pick two or three choices, and you will have a fun romantic time with your partner.
8. Climbing on Anything
When you have a two storage house, climb and down the stairs, use it as a fun way to exercise. If you have some trees in your yard, climb those tree and make a tree house with your kids. On the weekend, you could walk through the woods around you. Explore the woods, climbing on stumps, balancing on fallen trees, climbing trees, and more.
9. Swim for Fun
Swimming an excellent way
to work your body out. It is a low-impact activity that has many physical and mental health benefits hence it is a great exercise. Start by swimming a few laps, when you get tired, you could just play in the pool with your kids.
10. Ride your Bike
Go riding with your family or friends. You can ride around your neighborhood after work in the evenings. On the weekend, you can have a longer trip.

11. Hike your Way Up
Hiking can be a fun activity for you and your family. You can also ask your friend to come along. It takes a lot of your energy so start with some easy trails and work yourself up to some longer or steeper trails.
Now go ahead, pick one or two of the physical activities and get moving. I am sure you’ll come up with plenty of stories of your own. The most crucial thing is to find something you enjoy, something you love, so you’ll stick with it. Get out there and have fun.
